Terms of Service
Last updated 25 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Anthony Kroeger, a sole trader in Australia who operates Mock Audience (mockaudience.com) ("we", "us"). By signing in or using Mock Audience, you agree to these terms. If you use Mock Audience for a company or client, you confirm that you can agree to these terms for them.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
The service
Mock Audience fetches a landing page that you submit, uses AI models to describe the page and propose an audience, and simulates how synthetic visitors from that audience react. You must be 18 or over to use it.
What the results mean
Results are simulations, not measurements of real visitors. They are relative: use them to compare sources, segments, sections and reruns with each other. They do not predict your real bounce or conversion rate, and they do not pick A/B test winners. AI models can be wrong, and two runs of the same page can differ slightly. Use the results as one input among others, and make your own decisions about your page and your business.
Accounts and workspaces
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity in your account.
- A workspace holds sites, runs, members and one subscription. Its owners and admins control members, billing and branding, and are responsible for the people they invite.
- Tell us at once if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you give us and of the results we produce for you: the URLs, your edits to page summaries and audiences, reports, fix lists and branding. You give us permission to store, copy and process that content, and to send it to our service providers, only to operate and improve Mock Audience.
Submit only pages that are publicly available or that you have permission to test. You are responsible for making sure that your use follows the terms of the sites you submit, and that you have the rights to any logo or name you upload.
Acceptable use
Do not use Mock Audience to:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others;
- overload, scan or attack a website, including ours;
- get around plan limits, for example by opening many workspaces to get more runs;
- copy, resell or give access to the service, except for sharing reports with your clients and colleagues;
- reverse engineer the service, or access it by automated means other than the features we provide.
Share links
A share link makes a report readable by anyone who has the link, without signing in. You decide who gets the link, and you can revoke it at any time from the report.
Subscriptions and billing
- Mock Audience is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. The current plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax.
- Checkout is through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe, through its Link service, is the merchant of record: Link charges you, collects applicable tax and sends your receipts and invoices, and your purchase shows as "Sold through Link". Link's own terms, shown at checkout, also apply to your payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of new pages and reruns. The allowance resets every month, also on annual plans. Unused runs do not carry over. When the allowance is used up, you can upgrade or wait for the next month. We do not charge for overage.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We do not give refunds for partial periods or unused runs, except where the law requires it.
- A promotion code, such as the founding offer, applies as described when you redeem it, and only for as long as that subscription stays active.
- We can change prices. We tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
Our property
The Mock Audience software, website, design and brand belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights to them other than to use the service. If you send us feedback, we can use it without any obligation to you.
Other services
Mock Audience depends on services from other companies, such as Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments and AI model providers for analysis. We are not responsible for those services, and some of them, such as the visitor simulation model, are still in early release.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Mock Audience available, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. We can change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature that is a main part of your plan, we tell you first.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Mock Audience and cancel your subscription at any time. You can delete your account from the Account page in the dashboard. Before you do, make another member the owner of any workspace that other people use, or remove its other members. Deleting your account deletes the workspaces that only you use and cancels their subscriptions at once, with no refund for the rest of the period, except where the law requires it.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or others at risk, or if the law requires it. When possible, we tell you first. After your account closes, we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of supplying it again.
Disclaimer and limit of liability
Subject to the section above, Mock Audience is provided "as is", and we give no other warranties about it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, data or business opportunity, and our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for claims made against us by other people because of content you submit or because you broke these terms.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before it applies. If you continue to use Mock Audience after that, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales and the federal courts of Australia can decide any dispute about them.
